About the course:
The student is required to complete the water design for the residential unit in accordance with SANS 10250: Part 1. The design shall include schematics, design report and bills of quantities.
The student shall complete include hot and cold water schematic layouts, heat pump sizing, demand calculations, pipe sizing, head calculations, a design report detailing the design considerations and philosophy as well as a detailed bill of quantities.
Course pre-requisites:
The student is required to first complete the on-line course Hot and Cold Water Design
Documents provided:
The student will be provided with an electronic format(dwg) residential unit including sample design report template and bill of quantities template.

- Design schematics in dwg and pdf:
- Design report in word and pdf
- Bill of Quantities in excel and pdf
Marks:
- Design schematics 50%
- Design report 25%
- Bill of quantities 25%
Time to complete:
The student will be given 2 weeks to complete the submission.
Certificate:
Upon completion with an 80% pass mark the student will be issued with a certificate of completion.
