About the course:

The student is required to complete the electrical design for the residential unit in accordance with SANS 10142: Wiring Code. The design shall include schematics, design report and bills of quantities.

The lighting is to be done in accordance with SANS 10114 and the design should be done utilizing Relux or Dialux. These results must be included into the design report.

The compliance for lighting design calculation as per SANS 204 and 10400XA is also to be included into the report.

The student shall complete include lighting, power and distribution board schematics, a design report detailing the design considerations and philosophy as well as a detailed bill of quantities.
